Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving in construction, preferably utility construction.
• Familiarity with excavation safety practices and trenching operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL Class A vehicles with dump bodies to transport materials such as sand and gravel.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
• Load, unload and secure loads to prevent shifting during transit.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specs and safety guidelines.
• Assist in excavation, installation, backfilling, restoration and related tasks.
