Job summary

Southeast Connections, LLC is hiring a CDL Driver to safely operate dump trucks for natural gas utility projects in the Richmond area. The role includes transporting materials, performing inspections, and supporting construction tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include a valid CDL Class A license, DOT medical certificate, OSHA 10, and at least 2 years in utility/construction driving. Expect physical tasks, teamwork, and site restoration responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction driving, preferably in utility construction.
• Experience with natural gas utility construction and underground installations.
• Familiarity with excavation safety practices and trenching operations.
• Duties may change at any time with notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL Class A dump truck to transport materials (sand, gravel, equipment).
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Load/unload materials and secure loads for transit.
• Read and interpret construction plans and safety guidelines.
• Work on construction tasks including excavation, installation, backfilling, and site restoration.
• Maintain vehicle/tools/equipment cleanliness and readiness.
• Record vehicle logs, load tickets, and maintenance reports.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to meet project goals.
