Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned and operated company founded in 1978. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. Our headquarters and main sort facility are located in St. Cloud, MN. We employ over 1,800 staff across the company and have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver (Transport) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 8:00PM start - route completion
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected weekly
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours/week
• $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience
• +$2.00 shift premium for start times between 5:00pm - 4:59am

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness
• Complete mileage and maintenance forms
• Transport parcels between terminals
• Maintain certifications required by DOT and company policies
• Wash the tractor and equipment daily
• Assist with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed

Skills and Abilities

• Operate a manual transmission
• Possess or be able to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
• Good customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid CDL Class A license with a good driving record

Physical Requirements

• Pass a DOT physical
• Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Full range of motion with no limits on physical activities
• Work with various freight types, including hazardous materials, perishables, firearms, and live animals
