Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with clean driving record.

• Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing/construction preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials to and from sites.
• Secure loads and comply with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

• Support other departments during downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness of shipping/receiving area.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper is responsible for safely transporting materials and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations within the fabrication facility. This role is a blend of driving and hands‑on shop support, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining organization, accuracy, and safety in the shipping area.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
• Must have a DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience required.
• Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)
• Ability to lift‑up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Driving & Transportation

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials, pipe spools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and other locations
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues immediately
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards

General Shop Support

• Assist with inventory handling and material staging
• Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other equipment
• Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties
• Follow all PPE requirements and safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area
