Job summary

Builders FirstSource, the leading supplier of building materials in the industry, is hiring a delivery driver in Modesto, CA. You will operate delivery vehicles, load/unload goods, and ensure timely, safe deliveries to customer sites.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, a valid license, MVR clearance, and the ability to read and speak English. Forklift experience is a plus; strong teamwork and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and Class A CDL.
• Pass MVR report and DOT medical card within 5 days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in 5 years; basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English; forklift experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicle and/or operate truck-trailer combos to deliver materials.
• Load/unload materials; secure cargo and assist customers as needed.
• Maintain logs of deliveries, mileage, and weights; verify orders.
• Serve as customer service liaison; address concerns and resolve issues.
• Perform safety checks; keep vehicle clean and compliant with DVIR/HOS.
• Use handheld devices for DVIR/HOS; conduct pre/post trip inspections.
• May assist with credit/product return paperwork and forklift tasks.
