Job summary

National Trench Safety is seeking a Class A CDL Driver, non-crane certified, in Houston, TX. You will deliver and pick up trench shoring materials to customer sites, ensuring on-time, safe handling and compliance with DOT regulations.

This safety-sensitive role requires adherence to the company's drug and alcohol policy and safety procedures. The successful candidate will perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, secure loads, and coordinate with branch management to keep deliveries on

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of direct experience driving vehicles that require a Class A CDL is preferred.
Current Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the State DMV.
Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSR 49 CFR 391.41-391.49
Ability to obtain forklift certification as required

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Comply with DOT regulations including vehicle inspections, HOS logs, and credentials.
Deliver and pick up shoring and plates to and from job sites, multiple loads per day.
Occasionally load and unload the truck and trailer at customer job sites.
Occasionally assemble and disassemble shoring on job sites.
Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained and turned in as required.
Apply knowledge of driving to maneuver at various speeds in difficult locations.
Maintain open communication with the branch for delivery schedules and report problems.
