Job summary

National Trench Safety is seeking a Class A CDL Driver, non-crane certified, for the Lake Charles area. The role involves delivering and picking up trench shoring and plates to customer sites, maintaining safety standards, and adhering to DOT/FMCSR guidelines.

The driver will handle load security, maintain logs, and provide support across job sites. A valid Class A CDL and medical certificate are required; forklift certification may be required in the future.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct experience driving Class A vehicles preferred.
• Current Class A CDL and Medical Examiner’s Certificate per FMCSR 49 CFR 391.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs.
• Deliver and pick up shoring and plates to/from job sites, multiple loads per day.
• Occasionally load and unload truck and trailer at customer sites.
• Assemble and disassemble shoring on job sites as needed.
• Ensure all delivery documents are accurate and filed on time.
• Maintain open communication with the branch for delivery schedules and issues.
• Adhere to customer safety requirements on site.
• Support yard operations and help keep areas hazard-free.
