Job summary

United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a CDL Driver/Delivery Driver to perform pre and post trip inspections, deliver and unload products, review paperwork for accuracy, and enter trip data into the onboard computer.

The role covers 2–3 routes per week out of Iowa City with 1–2 layovers; trailers with power jacks, dock and lift gates; paid hotel stays and meal per diems. Candidates must have a valid CDL Class A, medical card, pass exams, know DOT rules, be 21+, and maintain safe driving in

Qualifications

Valid medical card per FMCSA requirements.
CDL Class A license required; ability to pass written exam and road test.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and UNFI safety standards.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Deliver and unload products, review paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
Enter trip data into on-board computer; complete paper logs if necessary.
Ensure orders are correct and match initial order details.
Address and resolve customer problems; communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
Comply with FMCSA regulations and UNFI safety policies.
Report accidents immediately to Transportation Manager/Department.
Pursue backhauls and collect required paperwork from vendors.
