Job summary

JDH is seeking a CDL-A truck driver to load, unload, and transport bulk freight in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations. The role involves operating tractor-trailer equipment, following dispatch instructions, and maintaining accurate trip records.

The position requires a High School Diploma, CDL Class A license, and a Medical Certificate. Expect 60–70 hour weeks with nights and weekends, local travel, and emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• CDL Class A license is required.
• Medical Certificate (Med Cert) and MVR checks.
• Excellent English communication with management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and promote best practices within the organization.
• Receive and follow dispatch instructions via electronic devices.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT/FMCSA rules and company procedures.
• Fuel the tractor and monitor DEF levels as needed.
• Operate with Hours of Service compliance using ELD and tablets.
• Prepare daily trip records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Commit to company safety programs and policies.
• Support a safe working environment and culture of accountability.
