Job summary

The DeLong Co., Inc. is seeking a reliable CDL Class A Driver to transport goods safely and on time for growers across the region. You will handle local, regional, and over-the-road routes, perform routine maintenance, and keep DOT logs in compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of CDL experience, a clean driving record, strong safety awareness, and willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A CDL and at least 1 year of CDL driving experience with DOT logging and ELD reporting.
• Demonstrates clean driving record and strong safety awareness for on-road and yard duties.
• Ability to read maps and navigate to unfamiliar locations independently.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills; able to follow instructions and keep the team informed.
• Willingness to work extended hours and nights during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A/B trucks, including on uneven/unfinished surfaces at job sites.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and keep truck clean and in peak condition.
• Tarp loads when required and handle client property with care.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and ELD reporting in compliance with regulations.
• Navigate to new locations using maps and routing tools; assist with general labor during slower seasons.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of parking lots, warehouses, and company property.
• Back 20- and 40-foot trailers safely in tight spaces; climb ladders up to 15 feet as needed.
