Job summary

Cemex US in Decatur, AL is seeking a safety-conscious CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations in the city, on job sites, and around company property. You will load/unload product safely and ensure deliveries reach customers accurately.

You must meet DOT regulations, complete pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain professional appearance. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site position in Alabama.

Qualifications

CDL Class A license required.
Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
MVR: no DUI/DWI in last 5 years.
Acceptable CSA score: no more than 3 moving violations in 7 years.

Responsibilities

Safely drive tractor-trailer to and from destinations per DOT regulations and area roads.
Check loads to ensure safe and proper hauling of product.
Verify delivery directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant.
Strive to meet customer expectations and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Develop relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for Cemex and address needs.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and personal appearance.
Communicate delivery instructions with supervisor/dispatch.
Assist other employees as needed.
Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment.
