Job summary

CEMEX is seeking a professional CDL Class A driver to safely operate tractor-trailer units within city, state, and job-site locations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading coordination, ensuring loads are secure and compliant with DOT regulations, and maintaining strong customer service relations.

Requirements include a valid CDL Class A, at least 1 year of CDL experience, clean MVR, and a solid CSA score.

Qualifications

CDL Class A license required.
Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
MVR: no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
CSA score: no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 7 years.

Responsibilities

Safely drive truck to and from destination following DOT regulations and local roads.
Check loads to ensure product is hauled safely and properly.
Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving to ensure correct delivery.
Strive to meet customer expectations and achieve high customer satisfaction.
Develop relationships with customers (external and internal) to maximize opportunities for CEMEX and address needs.
Maintain clean, presentable equipment and personal appearance.
Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch for delivery instructions.
Assist other employees as needed.
Complete pre- and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment.
