Job summary

Maxwood Furniture in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver for dedicated drayage routes between the Port of Charleston and Marion, SC. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 4:00 AM–12:30 PM schedule, with home every day and weekends off.

Responsibilities include no-touch freight, drop-and-hook operations, and port-based runs with predictable hours. Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL, TWIC, clean MVR, and be able to pass DOT physical and drug screening;

Maxwood Furniture is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver for dedicated drayage routes between the Port of Charleston and our Marion, SC distribution facility. This is a full‑time company driver position with a regular Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM schedule, offering predictable hours, weekends off, and afternoons and evenings at home.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL
• 5+ years of CDL Class A driving experience required for commercial insurance eligibility
• Valid TWIC Card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and on‑time performance
• Port and/or drayage experience preferred
• Familiarity with Port of Charleston operations is a plus

Location & Route

This position is based in Charleston, SC, with dedicated drayage runs between the Port of Charleston and Maxwood Furniture’s distribution facility in Marion, SC.

Drivers return home daily with no OTR or overnight routes.
