Job summary

St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver (Class A) to operate on a scheduled route, collecting donated food and returning to the warehouse for loading. Hours start at 5am until the route is finished, with pay starting at $27/hr.

CDL (Class A) and DOT certification are required, along with a strong safety record and solid communication skills. The role emphasizes safe vehicle upkeep, loading/unloading assistance, accurate documentation, and maintaining excellent

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrated and successful experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• CDL (Class A).
• FMCSA English Proficiency test required; read/speak to understand signs and reports.
• Good driving record and current DOT Medical Certification.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and appearance of assigned company vehicles.
• Assist loading/unloading with pallet jacks as directed.
• Complete DOT DUT logs and vehicle inspections.
• Handle pallets and donor boxes with proper labeling.
• Fill out donation receipts accurately and neatly.
• Pick up and deliver food donations on time to donors.
• Maintain positive relations with donors and drivers.
• Complete daily reports and drive a Class A/B truck.
• Report to Dispatch Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
