Job summary

Community Action Partnership Of San Bernardino seeks a Class A Driver to join the team in San Bernardino, CA. The role involves driving a two-axle truck (22-foot refrig. box) to collect and redistribute food, managing logs, and ensuring safe, accurate deliveries across the county.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inspecting shipments, and maintaining records. Must have a Class A license, forklift certification, and demonstrated delivery experience in a help-oriented, community-focused

Qualifications

• Warehousing and loading/unloading knowledge.
• Basic mechanical operation of a heavy truck.
• Standard office procedures and equipment operation.
• Business English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation.
• Understanding needs of disadvantaged communities.

Responsibilities

• Drive GVW >26,000 lb trucks for product pickup and delivery.
• Transport goods safely to destinations across San Bernardino County.
• Follow traffic laws and adapt to weather/road conditions.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance or delivery issues.
• Inspect, unload, store, and stage supplies and food products.
• Load, ship, and deliver various supplies and equipment.
• Maintain DOT driver logs for all trips.
• Inspect shipments against documents and orders.
• Prepare records and reports for operations.
• Share program information with suppliers and users.
