Job summary

Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY is seeking a Flex Driver (CDL Class A required) to safely transport food donations and materials, supporting food collection, storage, and distribution operations. Vehicles may include Class A/B; role includes warehouse and product-handling support.

You will maintain CDL and DOT medical card, complete daily reports, and uphold safety standards. Occasional Saturday work may be required. Must pass drug testing and obtain power equipment certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid New York State CDL Class A driver's license with at least two years of truck driving experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing or meet an applicable exception under Federal Motor Carrier Safety requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport food donations, products, and other materials by operating company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Maintain a valid CDL and Department of Transportation Medical Card while performing duties.
• Complete trip reports and ELD documentation accurately and daily; may require work on Saturdays.
• Inspect power equipment before use and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues promptly.
• Load and unload cargo, assist with warehouse and product handling, and maintain receiving and inventory records.
