Job summary

Clean Harbors in Shreveport, LA seeks a Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator / Hazmat / Tanker to operate a range of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, with driving and non-driving duties on hazardous waste cleanup sites.

The role includes attending a paid two-week Academy training (out-of-state possible) and requires compliance with safety, DOT and environmental guidelines. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must perform physical functions as per job requirements.
• Successful background check, drug test and medical/physical as applicable.
• Must meet respirator facial hair standards per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Class A trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Load and unload trucks and perform related manual labor on site.
• Ensure proper placarding and meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and required reports.
• Follow local, state and federal compliance regulations.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Participate in site remediation and handling of hazardous materials as assigned.
