Job summary

QXO is seeking a professional driver to handle touch freight, load and secure materials, and ensure safe loading/unloading processes at the site. You will inspect loads, communicate with dispatch, and follow DOT safety procedures.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather. You will work independently or with a team to meet delivery schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, loading/unloading products and ensuring load safety.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and wear required PPE.

• Pre‑inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
