Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for a day-shift, Monday through Friday position. Base pay starts at $23.25–$25.25 per hour, with a full-time schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will load/unload, inspect vehicles, deliver to customer sites, and maintain accurate delivery logs. Responsibilities include complying with DOT regulations, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload material on trailers by hand, forklift, or crane.
  • Reconcile material with shipping lists and secure customer signatures.
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections and address safety deficiencies.
  • Operate an onboard recording system and follow DOT rules and laws.
  • Deliver products to customer sites using piggy-back trailer forklift; training available.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times.
  • Stand, lift, bend, and move heavy products (60+ pounds) regularly.
  • Inspect/clean vehicle; ensure proper function and appearance.
  • Assist in inventory management including cycle counts.
  • Maintain logs of hours and miles; perform routine housekeeping.
  • Work safely and efficiently; adapt to varying weather and conditions.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $23.25 - $25.25 per hour.

Shift: Day Shift, full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:0 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform material handling activities to include loading and unloading material on a trailer by hand, forklift or overhead crane.
  • Reconcile material requirements with shipping list to ensure delivery is correct and obtain appropriate customer signatures to verify receipt.
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of tractor and trailer and have deficiencies corrected if vehicle is not safe to operate.
  • Operate an onboard recording system and adhere to company policies, D.O.T. regulations, and all federal, state and local traffic laws while driving.
  • Deliver products during the day through the use of a piggy-back trailer mounted forklift (training available) at customer job sites and locations.
  • Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service at all times.
  • Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending and moving of heavy products (60+ pounds).
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures and seasonal climate conditions due to exposure, external of tractor-trailer.
  • Inspect and clean the vehicle to make sure that all functions are working correctly, safely, and good appearance is maintained.
  • Assist in inventory management activities to include cycle counts.
  • Perform cleaning and housekeeping activities.
  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
