Apex Materials is seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers for local hauling in Reno/Sparks, NV. This safety-focused role requires operating double belly dumps, side dumps, end dumps, and dump trucks to move aggregate materials between job sites and plants.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, complete DVIRs, and maintain strict DOT compliance. Applicants must have 3+ years of verifiable driving, endorsements (Doubles/Triples, Tanker), OSHA 10, a valid DOT Medical Certificate, and be able

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Doubles/Triples endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating aggregate-hauling equipment (End Dumps, Double Belly Dumps, Side Dumps).
• Must operate manual-transmission trucks (stick shift).
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Pre-employment requirements include drug screening, background check, FMCSA Clearinghouse query, MVR review, and driving-experience verification.
• Available to work days, nights, graveyard shifts, and weekends.
• Must reliably report to the Reno/Sparks, Nevada area.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate double belly dumps, side dumps, end dumps, and/or dump trucks.
• Transport aggregate materials to designated job sites, plants, and facilities.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Conduct routine equipment checks, including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and safety equipment.
• Promptly report maintenance issues, defects, damage, or needed repairs.
• Complete accurate DVIRs and other required driver documentation.
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, state, local, and company requirements.
• Follow company safety policies and safe-driving practices at all times.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, supervisors, and jobsite personnel.
• Follow customer and jobsite-specific safety requirements.
