Responsibilities

• Maintain hours of service records using ELDs.
• Assist with loading/unloading if touch freight is required and ensure cargo is secured.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Safely operate commercial heavy‑duty trucks (day cabs and sleepers) to transport materials and finished products to designated manufacturing facilities and distribution centers across the region.
• Perform thorough DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, immediately reporting any mechanical defects or maintenance needs.
• Navigate local and regional routes efficiently, adapting to traffic conditions and strict appointment windows.
• Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) and maintain completely accurate records of hours of service (HOS), mileage, and fuel usage.
• Assist with or oversee the loading and unloading of freight (if touch‑freight is required), ensuring all cargo is properly secured and weight distributed according to DOT regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, communicating professionally with warehouse managers and receiving clerks.
