US Foods in Lexington, SC is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver. You will safely navigate highways and city streets, unload at customer sites, verify deliveries, and deliver exceptional service. This role requires compliance with DOT regs, good driving record, and ability to operate manual transmission where required.

Training starts at $20.54/hr with potential earnings after training up to $52.64/hr. Eligible drivers receive benefits from day one, plus the possibility of a $5,000 retention bonus

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must read/communicate in English and be able to use reports/records.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving and timely product delivery.
• Unload using two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand; 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance experience.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Assist with accounts receivable/payments when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.**Key Responsibilities*** **Safe Driving:** Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.* **Unloading:** Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas **– 100% touch freight.*** **Delivery Verification:** Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.* **Customer Service:** Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.* **Equipment Inspection:** Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.* **Account Management:** Handle collections and payments when applicable.* **Adaptability:** All other duties assigned by management. **Physical Requirements*** Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.* Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.* Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.* Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity. **Qualifications*** Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse\\** Must be at least 21 years of age.* Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.* Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.* Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.* Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. **About US FOODS**Click here to learn more! \\*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
