Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a driver for pickup and delivery services, moving freight between service centers and customers while supporting sales activities. The role requires CDL with hazmat/tank endorsements, and the ability to perform pre-trip inspections and secure loads.

Qualifications

• Must be able to count and perform basic math accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and coordination.
• Ability to lift/carry freight up to 100 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Ability to work independently or in a team across varying routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform pre-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers, secure freight, and perform freight handling with pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Communicate with dispatch on delays, arrivals, and equipment issues.
• Interact with customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries and solicit opportunities.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
• Adhere to DOT and hazardous materials regulations; comply with safety policies.
• Assist with duties of road driver or dock employee as needed.
