Job summary

Knik Construction Co., Inc. is seeking experienced Mechanics for remote construction projects across Alaska. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment on-site at remote locations, often in challenging environments. Lodging is provided and safety is a priority.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or two years of related training, strong knowledge of heavy equipment, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. CDL highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or two years related experience and training.
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment on remote sites.
  • Travel to remote project locations across Alaska for ongoing maintenance.
  • Operate and perform safety-focused maintenance in challenging environments.

Up to $82/hr + Substantial OT in Alaska - Lodging Provided - Seasonal Traveling Mechanics - Remote Construction

Knik Construction Co., Inc. is seeking experienced Mechanics for remote construction projects across Alaska. These roles involve troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in challenging environments. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to work long hours on-site at remote locations.

What You’ll Need
  • Associate degree or equivalent, or two years of related experience and training
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and mechanical systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must supply own basic hand tools
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
