Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Shipping Associate / Driver Class C in Illinois. The role focuses on transporting and unloading material to customers while resolving issues and supporting plant operations.

Reports to the Shop Supervisor and requires attention to detail, safety, and excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving with a valid CDL Class C, a clean driving record, and the ability to read delivery schedules and measurements.

Qualifications

• Requires valid CDL Class C license
• Minimum 2 years of recent commercial driving experience
• Must meet DOT requirements and hold Medical Certificate
• Flexible start times and ability to complete logs/paperwork accurately
• Strong customer service and communication with leadership

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport metal products including loading, unloading, and securing materials
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) for safety and compliance
• Make multiple deliveries while maintaining high customer service and assist plant operations
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies including Critical Safety Rules
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance while safely performing all tasks
