Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a dedicated bus driver to transport students safely to school and designated locations. You will follow routes, inspect the bus and safety equipment, and supervise students while boarding and exiting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Texas/NM CDL with P and S endorsements, and the ability to read/write/speak English. Training in CPR/first aid and defensive driving is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (must be obtained within a year).
• CDL Class A or B with P and S endorsements; require insurability.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from destinations following routes and policies.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of bus, safety kits, and fire extinguisher.
• Supervise students boarding/exiting and maintain order on bus.
• Maintain safety rules and report discipline issues to the administrator.
• Attend safety and driving training including CPR/first aid/defensive driving.
