Job summary

Work Calendar:

180 Days

Standard Work Hours:

Varies based on route hour assignment

Compensation Continued:

• Based on Salary Schedule
• Regular school hours
• Extra driving duties available above and beyond the school day
• Substitute positions lead to regular driving routes

Responsibilities:

• If not currently licensed, ability to obtain a commercial driver's license and proper legal credentials.
• Supervise and maintain control of a school bus with passengers.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with parents, students, staff, and administration.
• Ability to demonstrate and perform defensive driving strategies.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of Transportation.

Driver Training:

• CPCSC offers paid hourly training.
• CPCSC reimburses candidates for the following expenses once they have successfully earned their CDL and have driven for CPCSC for one full semester: Learner's Permit, CDL, and Skills Test.
