Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is seeking a CDL driver to support loading, delivery, and safety compliance. You will operate Class A or B trucks, perform touch-freight, inspect loads, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and manual transmission.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safety.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow DOT and safety procedures, wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
