Job summary

Republic National Distributing Company is hiring a CDL Driver in Atlanta, GA to ensure timely and safe delivery of products. The role involves collecting non-cash payments as needed and maintaining professional customer service.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, manage 19–30 accounts daily, and cover approximately 160 miles per day (potentially 200–300 miles). Overnight routes may be required. May work with helpers and use HOS software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably two years delivery experience.
• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Requires a current Class B CDL driver's license (Class A CDL license also allowed and may be required for positions based on location); ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Must be able to obtain valid DOT medical certification card and file appropriately with state Motor Vehicle Department.
• Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and adhere to DOT hours of service rules and regulations.
• Potential for dedicated overnight routes.
• Deliver invoiced products to accounts by bottle, case, pallet or hand-stack; place merchandise into customer account.
• Verify receipt of correct order with customer; obtain signature and payment if necessary.
• Ensure physical security of the truck at all times.
• Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily (may reach up to 30 during peak periods).
• Cover about 160 miles daily; may increase to 200–300 miles on busy days or out-of-town routes.
• Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
• Provide route feedback to transportation management.
• May use HOS software on a smartphone.
