Republic Services in Dunn, NC is seeking a Driver - CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal for customers.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and interact with customers and dispatchers to keep routes on schedule.

A valid CDL B with air brakes is required; the role offers comprehensive benefits and a structured safety program.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure tire pressure, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route to disposal site; read route sheet and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean around the packer blade and truck body.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies; participate in ReSOP.
• Perform other duties; demonstrate honesty and trust.
