City and County of Denver is hiring a Waste Services Operator I. The role operates solid waste collection trucks on designated routes, loads waste at landfills, and uses route maps to plan daily drives.

Position includes pre/post trip inspections, basic maintenance, and overtime opportunities. The successful candidate will have a CDL-B license, high school or GED, and 2 years of general labor experience with driving exposure.

Competenze

• Two (2) years of general labor experience with six (6) months driving light to medium equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL B) required with appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test.

Mansioni

• Safely operates a solid waste collection truck (rear loader, roll off, and others) to collect waste, recycle, or compost material along a designated route.
• Loads/unloads waste at landfills or recycling centers and may collect bulky items.
• Reads route maps, documents service completion using tablets or systems, and reports issues.
• Completes daily pre/post trip inspections and assists in vehicle maintenance.
