Job summary

Republic Services in Pennsylvania is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports.

The role requires performing pre- and post-operation inspections, following route sheets, loading waste, and maintaining professional conduct with customers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by the dispatcher.
• Load and dispose of waste at designated facilities, operate the packer blade safely, and report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to service routes on time.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required; monitor waste for unacceptable material.
