Job summary

Republic Services in Illinois is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck, perform pre- and post-operation inspections, load refuse, and service customers on assigned routes while upholding safety standards and completing vehicle condition reports daily.

This position requires a Class B CDL with air brakes, shifts Monday–Friday starting around 4–5am, with pay ranges from $18.30 to $25.20 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Shift; Monday - Friday; start time 4-5am

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate pile/pacter and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports; maintain productivity standards and safety compliance.
