Job summary

MTM Transit in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Driver for trolley operation in partnership with Kern Transit. You will provide safe transport, assist with boarding, and ensure mobility device safety while maintaining on-time pickups and professional conduct.

Required CA CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsements, 21+ years old, and ability to use tablets. DOT/ADA regulations apply; comprehensive benefits include health, life, 401(k), PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• California CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsements required.
• No felony convictions involving moral turpitude or narcotics in last 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in last 7 years; clean MV records.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the United States.
• DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable trolley operation in Bakersfield, CA.
• Demonstrate defensive driving and courtesy to customers.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility device security.
• Complete thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and safety inspections.
• Complete required paperwork and utilize tablets or GPS devices.
• Maintain on-time pickups and responsiveness to schedules.
