Job summary

Avalon Transportation in Santa Cruz is seeking a dependable Shuttle Driver to join our on-campus program. You’ll drive 28-passenger mini-buses and 35-ft motorcoaches, deliver safe, courteous service, and enjoy a stable Monday–Friday full-time schedule in a premium work environment.

Requirements: Valid Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement (air brakes a plus), 2 years of commercial driving, ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.

Qualifications

Valid Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement; air brakes not required (but a plus).
2 years of commercial driving experience.
Ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
Fluent English with a courteous, customer-first attitude.
Professional appearance and clean, safe driving record.
Ability to use GPS and electronic logging (HOS) apps.

Responsibilities

Drive campus shuttle routes (18–28 passenger vehicles) safely and on schedule.
Provide excellent passenger service and maintain a positive demeanor.
No heavy lifting; focus on safe driving, fueling, and vehicle checks.
Utilize GPS/ELD systems to maintain compliance and efficiency.
