Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide reliable waste removal services for customers in the Statesville area. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards, complete daily VCRs, and follow all regulations while reading route sheets and servicing each customer on your route.

The role emphasizes courteous customer interactions, time management, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Experience operating a collection truck is a plus.
• Ability to follow routes, read route sheets, and communicate with dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along assigned routes and service customers.
• Load refuse and operate the packer/controls per safety policies.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and complete required route/productivity sheets and VCRs.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service and adhere to safety standards.
