Job summary

Virtua is seeking a dependable driver to transport materials, patients, and staff within the system. You will maintain vehicle schedules, ensure safe operation, and uphold confidentiality and dignified patient care.

The role requires a High School diploma, 3–5 years driving experience, and a CDL B with endorsements. CPR certification preferred or required per program policies. You will work Monday–Friday with specific shift times.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 3–5 years driving experience.
• Driver’s License Abstract must meet Virtua Health’s insurance carrier standards.
• Defensive driving course preferred.
• CDL B with appropriate endorsements required.
• CPR Certification required as per program.

Responsibilities

• Transports materials, patients, or employees in accordance with program needs.
• Provides the highest level of customer service, maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Loads and unloads materials as required.
• Drives the vehicle safely and maintains a clean driving record.
• Creates best schedules and routes to meet department objectives.
• Maintains vehicle maintenance schedule and liaison with leadership.
• Performs daily vehicle inspections (pre/post trip).
• Maintains courier log and related paperwork.
• Performs other duties including basic office tasks and inter-department transport.
