Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a dedicated CDL-B Driver in the United States to safely operate a collection truck and ensure timely waste removal for customers. You will verify vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports.

Two years of experience driving commercial trucks is preferred, with a Class B CDL and air brakes endorsement required. The role emphasizes courteous customer service and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of material at facility.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Clean area around an accidental waste spill following safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and keep packer blade clean.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards to service customers timely.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
