Job description

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently seeking a CDL Class B Driver for our Springfield, IL location. Applicants can hold either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B License with Air Brake Endorsement.

Opportunity for overtime!

Desired experience includes flatbed with Moffett, knuckleboom, and/or crane operation.

Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading materials as per customer requests, receiving materials at the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.
• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A license.
• Experience with Moffett, flatbed, boom truck, and crane (OSHA certified) is preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Heavy lifting ability (50-100 lbs., some over 100 lbs.).
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering and unloading shingles and other materials using heavy equipment.
• Loading trucks within DOT weight limit regulations.
• Receiving and moving merchandise at the warehouse.

Compensation: $23.50 - $26 per hour

Our work schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., with home nightly.
