Job summary

Airgas in Jackson, TN is hiring a CDL B Route Driver to safely deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional customers from a branch. Expect loading, unloading, and frequent customer contact with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 40–42 hour work week.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off after 30 days. Manual vehicle operation is required, and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat (or able to obtain it within 60 days from hire date) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Must be able and willing to drive a MANUAL transmission.
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions in the last 3 years; or two at-fault accidents.
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Deliver to local and regional business customers.
• Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers.
• Complete deliveries on customer property using a hand cart; physically active role.
