Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections and strict adherence to safety standards before operating the vehicle.

The position involves following routes, servicing customers, loading waste, and completing reports daily. A valid Class B CDL with air brakes is required, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material.
• Clean area around any waste spill adhering to safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean packer blade as needed.
• Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service for customers.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in the ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Maintain good time management and follow-through on tasks.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.

Education

Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
