Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking an Equipment Operator I to join the Wastewater Management Division. You will support construction, maintenance, and repair activities and perform substantial manual labor alongside operating light- to medium-sized machinery.

Expected schedule is weekday daytime hours with a salary range of $23.89–$35.84 per hour. Benefits include a life-long pension, 457B plan, generous PTO, holidays, personal day, Wellness Day, and health plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years general labor experience including 6 months operating light to medium equipment
• CDL-B with endorsements; driving duties require current license.

Responsibilities

• Operate light- to medium-sized equipment to support construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and monitor equipment performance.
• Maintain records, logs and reports of equipment use and incidents.
• Assist in snow removal operations and daily field duties as assigned.
