Job summary

Airgas is seeking a CDL B Driver in Tallahassee, FL, to safely deliver compressed gas cylinders to local customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to lift heavy loads, with a valid Class B CDL and HAZMAT endorsements. Qualifications

Location: Tallahassee, FL - Retail shop

Job Overview

As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided CDL B vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies
• Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers.
• Support deliveries in a timely manner
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders.
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; this position is physically active and hands‑on.
• Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle.
• Use the company provided CDL B vehicle and comply with safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or at‑fault accidents within the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years.
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
• Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs. and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or provide proof of a trucking school certificate completed in the last 12 months.
