Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Joplin, MO. This hybrid role combines driving expertise with customer service, allowing you to engage directly with our customers.

You will be responsible for maintaining store operations, assisting with inside sales, and driving to deliver gases and welding products as needed. Candidates should have a valid Class A or B CDL, strong customer service skills, and the capability to manage physical demands.

The role offers a starting pay of $28/hour along with comprehensive benefits after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of CDL driving experience or graduation from an accredited driving school.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain it.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and minimum age of 21.
• Physical capability to regularly lift 25–75 lbs, with ability to lift 125 lbs with equipment.
• Proactive attitude towards customer service.

Overview

Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Joplin, MO. This dynamic hybrid role blends driving expertise with customer service, enabling you to be the face of our company.

What You'll Do

• Build relationships with customers as the first point of contact, using expert knowledge to guide them to the right products.
• Engage in inside sales, helping customers assess needs, provide quotes, and find solutions.
• Maintain store operations by organizing merchandise and processing sales efficiently.
• Deliver gases and welding products as backup when a regular driver is unavailable.

Required Qualifications

• At least one full year of verifiable Class A or B CDL driving experience in the past 5 years, or recent graduate from an accredited driving school.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain Hazmat upon offer.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and minimum age 21.
• Physical capability to lift 25–75 lbs routinely and up to 125 lbs with equipment; able to bend, walk, stand, and drive up to 8 hours/day.
• Customer service skills and proactive attitude; familiarity with sales platforms or ability to learn systems such as SAP or other CRM is preferred.
