Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank is hiring a Truck Driver – CDL B in Washington, DC. The role involves operating company vehicles to deliver food to partner agencies, picking up donations, and ensuring adherence to DOT and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
• Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL B) with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Satisfactory safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle and fuel; monitor mechanical condition.
• Drive to transport food following safety regulations to locations assigned.
• Load, unload, and regularly clean the truck.
• Communicate with CAFB staff, donors, and clients about the organization.
• Assist with special events and distributions of CAFB products.
• Assist operations as directed by the Director of Operations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Support warehouse operations.
