Sunrock Industries is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator for North Carolina projects. The role involves operating and maintaining an asphalt distributor truck on road construction sites and paving crews, with duties including spraying tack coat, seal coat, and liquid asphalt materials.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class B CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Experience operating construction trucks or heavy equipment.
• Ability to work long shifts (8–14 hours) and outdoors on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt distributor truck safely and efficiently
• Apply liquid asphalt / tack coat / emulsion to road surfaces
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete required DOT and company safety reports
• Conduct basic truck maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, upkeep)
• Follow OSHA, MSHA, and company safety standards
• Support paving crew operations when distributor is not in use
• Work outdoors in road construction environments
