Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH's South Central Division, is a leading supplier of quality asphalt and Construction Services in the southeastern U.S., with operations in Alabama. This position requires a CDL license with Tanker endorsement and will operate the Asphalt Distributor on road construction projects.

Responsibilities include setting spray bars, performing minor equipment service, and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement.
• Ability to learn how to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck.
• Must pass DOT physical/drug screen.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Asphalt Distributor Truck on road construction projects.
• Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
• May oil, grease, service and make minor operating adjustments to equipment.
• Ensure the equipment is in safe, working condition and perform minor maintenance or refer major problems to supervision.
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, and adjusting screed extensions.
