Job summary

Amwaste is hiring a CDL ASL (Automated Side Loader) Driver in Townsend, GA. This role offers opportunities to grow as a professional while safely operating automated waste collection trucks on a designated route and engaging with customers to positively impact the community.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Class B CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle per policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy ASL truck on the designated route and at the disposal site; read the route sheet, follow the map and service each customer as identified on the sheet.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others daily to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Clean area around spills, adhering to safety standards and policies.
• Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and keep the packer blade and truck body clean.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, DVIR and other reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards so all customers are serviced efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
