Job summary

DocGo is seeking an Ambulette Driver in Freeport, NY for a full-time role with 8- or 12-hour shifts. CDL with Passenger Endorsement and a valid DOT Medical Card are required, along with a clean CDL abstract. You will ensure safe patient transport, maintain the vehicle, and provide professional service to patients and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement (A/B/C) required.
• DOT Medical Card required for employment.
• CDL abstract must be clear of major violations.
• Defensive Driving Course (NSC DDC-6) completed or able to complete.
• Must successfully pass Physical Aptitude Test.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient transport while maintaining vehicle readiness.
• Know municipal roads and local geography to navigate efficiently.
• Stay up to date with standards of care and licensed equipment use.
• Deliver courteous, professional service to patients, colleagues, and the public.
• Transport patients to facilities, following policies and procedures.
• Daily vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, and reporting mechanical issues.
• Submit daily reports to market leadership.
• Respond promptly to Dispatch Center assignments.
• Support customers by proactively addressing needs.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
