The University of New Mexico Taos campus is seeking an experienced CDL adjunct instructor to teach CDL A theory and permit preparation, and to help prepare students for behind-the-wheel training. The role supports our 12-credit-hour DOT-approved CDL program and collaborates with the CDL instructional team.

Formación

• Must hold current, valid Class A CDL.
• Must hold current, valid New Mexico Driver's License.
• Minimum of three years of work-related experience operating commercial motor vehicles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial driving practices, safety requirements, and applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilidades

• Teach CDL A classroom/theory and learner's permit preparation components of the program.
• Collaborate with the CDL instructional team to prepare students for behind-the-wheel training.
• Participate in UNM's Integrated Education and Training (IET) model to connect foundational skills with technical instruction and workforce prep.
